Getting to the top of any sport is a long journey. No shortcuts. Clients I am currently supporting are training for Olympic, Professional and National selections. All factors are considered during the consultation process. Junior performance pathways are difficult to navigate. If there is a gap, then we work closely with athlete , physios, parents, coaches to present the solutions relevant the stage of development they are at.
Most clients who enquire about coaching for Ultra distance and Hybrid cross training events are looking for direction. The information is out there. They are not short of self motivation. Often, a weekly call or monthly face to face is enough for the level of input they are seeking. For example; one client has 2 sessions per week as she builds to Hyrox Birmingham and another client has a monthly 1-1 for a 50 mile mountain race.
What is your gap?
Returning to full fitness from an injury requires patience, sensible progressions, consistency in turning up for yourself and commitment to doing the hard yards that rehab exercises demand. IS THAT ALL!
ROC COACHING has extensive experience in supporting clients move from the physio clinic to full fitness and return to sport activity. We communicate with the physio to ensure the transition is monitored and in line with clinical recommendations.
You just want to train.
You love to take direction and just do it.
Life is busy and handing over the planning makes sense
You know training compliments your overall health and happiness.
The course of action and exercises mould over time. The TREND over time proves the benefit. No quick fixes. Just living life.
Are you struggling to get the balance and programming correct to support the end goal?
Sessions take place at Iford Training studio or Poole Ocean studio. Home visits are also available for those with relevant training equipment.
Have the courage to ask a silly question. Listening to the answer might be the hardest pill to swallow.
Frankly, this is the backbone of the ROC COACHING framework. In many cases, improving the skills to think smarter and make better decisions when physically fatigued has made all the difference in the outcome.

For many years I coached and travelled with professional tennis players. This was at Senior International and World junior levels.
I first qualified as a Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist in 1999. My latest study is on Hip conditioning through DG Rehab. I have coached thousands of hours with 1-1 clients in a David Lloyds and private PT studios in London and Dorset. Throughout my career I have trained various professional athletes, most notably Junior and Senior International tennis players attending Grand Slams. Now based in Poole, Dorset I continue to better myself in knowledge and skills within sport and health.
